Men's Health Week is a celebration of the positive roles men and boys play in our society, as well as an examination of environments that are leading to adverse male health outcomes. Men's Health Week is an international celebration of the causes and factors behind the state of men's and boys' health in Australia.
Through the environMENts campaign, which is this years theme, Men's Health Week aims to:
- Create connections between male health and the natural environment as a way to encourage men and their families and colleagues to think about men's health issues in a positive, inclusive and celebratory manner.
- Engage men, boys, women and children in being part of advocating for better male health, for the benefit of both males and females across Australia.
- Promote the role of life contexts in all their forms as the main factors that impact on men's health.
- Highlight and celebrate the positive contributions that men and boys make to our society.
- Open the debate about contexts where men's environments are failing and how these failings are contributing to the visible symptoms of poor male health in Australia.
